New Ride! (er, mount?)

Yesterday was my and Doug's shared day off.  Off to class he goes at 12, with me expecting him back around 1:30.  1:30 arrives, no Doug.  2 o'clock?  No Doug.  3-4 o'clock?  No Doug.  He assures me over text that everything is fine, and finally around 5, he texts me to "come outside".  Well what could this be about?

SHA-BAM!!!

There's my hunny, surprising me with a new car!  

Although it does add another bill, the timing was right.  We're both making more money than ever (him through his promotion, me from having more hours now that I've graduated), and frankly, the truck was a mess.  He already had the truck when we met, and it had been slowly falling apart, with us having to do at least one expensive repair a year.

Just one more step closer to baby time!  After all, we couldn't really be expected to drive a baby around in a two-seater, could we?  No way the two of us plus a car seat would have fit.  One of our goals before trying to conceive was to get a good family vehicle.  Now we have it!  YAY!

So, just 3 more months until health insurance kicks in, and then it's on like donkey kong!
